Wellness Programme (School)

Our Wellness Programme for Schools harness nature to enhance emotional regulation, social skills, and overall well-being among students. By integrating social and therapeutic horticulture activities into the school environment, we provide a unique and effective way to support the mental and emotional health of students.

Scientific research shows the many benefits of engaging with nature. For example, studies have found significant reductions in stress and mood disturbances among students involved in social and therapeutic horticulture activities. Caring for plants in a structured setting helps foster emotional growth, improve concentration, and promote a sense of responsibility and achievement. These outcomes are especially valuable for children and adolescents, who are at a crucial stage of emotional and social development.

Our sessions take place on school grounds, using the garden space or a designated indoor area. The programme introduces students to the basics of gardening, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting, while also incorporating nature-based activities aimed at improving emotional regulation and social interaction skills.

At Hortherapeutics, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment that promotes the well-being of students through the power of nature. Contact us today to learn more about how we can support the emotional and social development of your students.
